The
Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation
is the
benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted
designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real
Estate BUYERS AGENT Council (REBAC) of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION
OF REALTORS® who met the specified educational and practical
experience criteria.
The criteria are:
Completed the comprehensive two-day REBAC course in buyer
representation
Successfully passed a written examination
Demonstrated a practical experience of having completed
five closed real estate transactions in the field of buyer
representation.
Received recommendations from two of the real estate
practitioners buyer clients.
Be a member in good standing with the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION
OF REALTORS®
Look for those real estate agents that proudly display the
ABR® designation and know that they are professionals in the
field of buyer representation.

2005 Council membership survey for CRS Designees
CRS Designees earn an average of $160,500
annually, a 25 percent increase over the $120,000 earned in 2002.
This is more than 4 times the $38,300 median
income of REALTORS serving as sales associates. (Source:

CRS Designees average a total of 32 transactions
per year with gross sales of $7 million annually.
CRS Designees represent the seller an average
of 20 times per year
CRS Designees represent the buyer an average
of 12 times per year
CRS Designees attribute a median 10 percent of
their income to holding the CRS Designation
CRS Designees have worked in residential real
estate for an average of 20 years.
CRS Designees have been members of the Council
for 10 years and held the CRS Designation for 9 years.
The majority of CRS Designees work as a sole
practitioner (69 percent). Less than a third (28 percent) works in
or leads a team.
CRS Designees are an average of 57 years old.
Some 67 percent of CRS Designees are women
while men make up 33 percent of the membership.
Some 51 percent of CRS Designees work for large
franchise companies versus 46 percent affiliated with independent
companies.

CRS®, Certified Residential Specialist®
Agents can maximize their potential by earning the CRS® Designation

support. The CRS® Designation is awarded to experienced REALTORS®

GRI
-- Graduate, Realtor Institute is a professional
designation for those who have graduated from the Realtor
Institute, also associated with the National Association of
Realtors. REALTORS with this designation have completed a
comprehensive education program in residential real estate.
This is a 90-hour program.

When they are a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®,
The Voice for Real Estate® -- the world's largest professional
association. The term REALTOR® is a registered collective
membership mark that identifies a real estate professional who
is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and
subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.
Founded in 1908, NAR has grown from its original nucleus of 120
to today's 720,000 members. NAR is composed REALTORS® who are
involved in residential and commercial real estate as brokers,
salespeople, property managers, appraisers, counselors and
