ABOUT US
We're
sure that at some point, you've considered a deck for your home.
And while you were contemplating the idea, you looked through
magazines and drove through neighborhoods checking out designs and
construction. What did you find? Sure, everything in the magazine
looked professional and immaculate... it was supposed to! Ads are
meant to inspire and entice the reader. But how about the decks you
saw in person? Did they have structural integrity? Did the design
complement the landscape and structure of the home? Was the wood
splitting, cracked, rotted or gray?
You know that building a deck might be a job that you don't
want to tackle, so who do you trust? It takes more than a hammer
and a truck to call yourself a contractor. At CHF Deck Co., we
have a proven record of excellence in all areas of deck
construction, from design and layout, to installation and
maintenance, to service and financing. We have learned to help our
customers bridge the gap of educating themselves so they can make an
informed buying decision. After all, a deck will be an investment
of time, fun, beauty and functionality. Can you afford to have
problems and a poorly constructed deck addition from the first day?
Probably not! At CHF Deck Co., we have been building decks for 15
years, and we have probably built a deck in your area. After
thousands of decks designed and constructed by us, we have initiated
an innovative concept in our industry. It is to our benefit, but
more importantly to your peace of mind and financial consideration,
if we 'walk you through' the process of deck construction and design
and inform you of choices that will affect your enjoyment and
ultimately, your finances.
We explain all of the design features we employ and the
benefits to you, for example: Hand nailing vs. nail guns, load
capacity and joist leveling. If you are considering a proposal from
a competitor of ours and none of those few subjects were discussed,
you need to decide whether your best interests were taken into
consideration. Will your work be subcontracted out to a company
that gets paid for speed vs. quality? At CHF Deck Co., all of our
craftsmen are company people, that's how we can maintain our rigid
standards throughout the installation process. We have built over
3,000 decks and have spotless MHIC and BBB records. We attribute
that to our attention to detail and level of commitment to not just
put a deck on a house, but to add to the asthetics and functionality
of your home.
So whether you work with CHF Deck Co. or choose another
company, use our site as a tool to educate yourself. Get answers in
the Shopping Guide, check out the Structural Advantages, and call us
with any questions you have. When all is said and done, we are
confidant that we will earn your trust and you won't regret your
decision to work with CHF Deck Co.

When
you are making an "investment" on a deck, you must realize
that most decks look great when they are first installed.
As decks age, especially pine decks, there is a
high amount of shrinkage mainly in the floor boards and in the
frames. This occurs because of the high amount of moisture
content that is characteristic in this species of wood.
Therefore, this causes unleveling, warping, and overall high
strength reduction in the overall deck.
All of the Deck Co. advantages listed above help
drastically reduce many of these potential problems and allow
your deck investment to last a lifetime.
